Echoes of Tradition: Vọng 2025 in Hanoi

On July 9, 2025, Hanoi hosted “Vọng 2025 – An exhibition in Hanoi showcasing Artistic Perspectives of students from across Vietnam.” This special event brought together creative works infused with the spirit of Vietnamese tradition, expressed through the fresh perspectives of high school and university students nationwide. Featuring over 30 young artists, the exhibition offered audiences a colorful journey of discovery – from paintings, ceramics, and lacquer to traditional tò he figurines – all blending into a space rich with cultural identity.

The atmosphere was both vibrant and heartfelt, leaving lasting impressions on visitors. Mùn proudly participated with its Tuồng Collection, inspired by the expressive lines and dramatic spirit of classical Tuồng theatre. The collection quickly drew attention and became one of the highlights of the exhibition, as many attendees shared that they felt not only visual beauty but also a deep resonance with Vietnamese cultural heritage.

Through “Vọng 2025,” Mùn realized that the love for traditional art is not confined to the younger generation but also strongly resonates with adults who carry memories of the countryside and cultural traditions. In particular, lacquer art—long regarded as a timeless treasure—continues to thrive, touching the hearts of people across generations.

Although the exhibition has concluded, its echoes remain: a belief that Vietnamese heritage, when cherished and reimagined with creativity, will always find its place in contemporary life. For Mùn, “Vọng 2025” marked a meaningful beginning on the journey to bring lacquer art—and with it, Vietnamese culture—closer to the community.
